To apply for this priority status and earn the rate of £25 an hour, we require a Dineindulge chef to agree to the following conditions that underpin the needs and requirements of Dineindulge and the requirements of our clients:
1. Availability to work at least one event per week
There is a strong correlation between the amount of events a chef delivers and their reliability and performance. As such, encouraging chefs to consistently commit more of their time to Dineindulge work by offering an increased rate of pay will allow us to improve the overall level of service we can offer our clients.
2. Availability to work Saturdays
Saturday is the most popular day of the week for events and so we need to ensure that we have the highest level of availability for our clients on this date. Therefore, this new tier of pay will be exclusive to those who are able to commit to working with us on Saturdays on a regular basis.
3. Ability to deliver Deluxe menus
45% of all menu sales are for the Deluxe menu range and, like Saturday availability, we require as many of our chefs as possible to be able to deliver these higher level tasting menus. Therefore, chefs with the experience to deliver Deluxe menus can benefit from this higher rate of pay and chefs who don’t yet have this experience will have an incentive to gain the skillsets required knowing that this will come with financial benefits.
4. Maintaining a review score over 4.75 in any given 3 month period
It goes without saying that we need our chefs to deliver an experience that meets our client’s expectations. Our average review score at Dineindulge is 4.86/5.00 and so we are delighted to say that Dineindulge private chefs do an outstanding job overall and those chefs who can maintain this level will receive the highest rates of pay.
5. Maximum of one drop out from an event with less than 7 days notice in any 3 month period
Finally, it may be listed last but reliability is the most important aspect of being a Dineindulge private chef. It is impossible to over emphasise the impact it has on our clients and the team when a chef pulls out of an event they’re booked on with limited notice and as such it is a critical aspect of becoming a priority chef with us. We are very lucky to be able to work with a reliable group of professional chefs and we understand that issues occur outside of anyone’s control. We also understand that sometimes our chefs will transparently communicate that they’re having to drop out of their event for a short term opportunity that may be more appealing to them for a number of reasons. With this new priority status we want to encourage chefs to look more long term at the overall opportunity available at Dineindulge and prioritise this over the occasional opportunities which result in chefs pulling out of events on short notice.
If you feel confident committing to the above requirements then you can apply for this new rate of pay by completing and submitting the short form on the right/below. If you are unsure about any details or have questions then please email chefs@dineindulge.co.uk for more information.
