The Chef Agreement
Please Read Carefully
Who are We?
To introduce ourselves, we are Dineindulge Chefs. We were born out of the success of our parent company and international private chef experience, Dineindulge. Our goal is to expand the opportunities for our chef network beyond our original private chef offering and into every aspect of the hospitality and catering industries in every country that we operate in.
We are committed to working with the highest quality of chefs available around the world to provide an unmatched level of service and experience to all our clients. As well as requiring a strong skill set in the kitchen our chefs need to be able to offer reliability, consistency and an excellent attitude and level of professionalism in every element of the work they do for us.
As well as the commitment we have to our clients we’re also dedicated to offering our chefs excellent and consistent work opportunities with companies and businesses who require the level of service our chefs can provide.
What Do We Ask of You?
We’re a company and service dedicated to excellence, and the reputation of our private chef experience proceeds us. So the expectation our clients have of our recruitment offering from communication and reliability to the standard of our chefs is exceptionally high, and this is something we embrace.
In order to achieve a standard of service in line with this we rely on our chef’s compliance and commitment to the following rules:
The Five Chef Rules – Please Read Carefully
Communication; this forms the foundation of any successful and strong relationship between ourselves and our chef team and develops trust between both parties. Our chefs can trust that they can always get in contact with us when needed and will get prompt responses to any questions, concerns or issues that they may have and we expect the same in return.
From Monday to Saturday we expect that any communications between either party will be responded to within 12 hours at the very latest. Or if either party will be unavailable for any period of time beyond this, they will clearly communicate it to the other party.
If you can’t guarantee prompt communication within this time frame, then do not accept & sign this agreement.
Professionalism; as a Dineindulge chef, we expect you to act with complete professionalism at all times towards us, other chefs you may be working with and any clients you may be working for on behalf of Dineindulge.
When you accept work from us we presume that you have clearly understood all elements of the work you are accepting and if you haven’t then you will ask the relevant questions before you commit to us. Once you accept a shift, of any kind, the terms of that shift are set and will not be renegotiated. You must also make sure that you have considered transportation prior to accepting any shift and have made appropriate plans to ensure you can attend.
Finally, we have a zero tolerance policy on rude and disrespectful behaviour or any form of unprofessionalism with regards to your attitude towards Dineindulge, any of our staff or any of our clients.
If you can’t guarantee you will maintain complete professionalism at all times, regardless of the circumstances, then do not accept & sign this agreement.
Reliability; a large part of our reputation has been built off the promise that when we tell a client a chef is going to be somewhere at a set time, they can trust that this will always happen. Therefore, reliability is a crucial attribute we need from all of our chefs.
By accepting this agreement, you are committing never to accept work or agree to attend a trial shift that you can’t 100% guarantee you will attend. You are under no obligation to commit to work or accept shifts and rejecting any offers will have no impact on your status with Dineindulge however, we have a zero tolerance policy for anyone failing to attend an agreed shift or anyone who tries to renegotiate the terms of a shift they have already accepted.
If you can’t guarantee you will reliably attend shifts you have accepted and are booked on to then do not accept & sign this agreement.
Honesty; to represent a chef we need to have complete trust in them. This starts from an honest and factual CV through to our chefs being upfront and genuine about their ability and motivations and especially if issues arise prior to or following shifts organised by Dineindulge.
For example, if you don’t have a driving license, please don’t state you do or if your circumstances change meaning you are unable to attend commitments for Dineindulge you need to inform us immediately with genuine reasoning for this.
If at any stage when working with a chef we find any information provided to be untruthful we will cease working with this chef immediately without prior warning.
If you can’t guarantee that you will be honest and factual with all information provided to us and work with integrity at all times, then do not accept & sign this agreement.
Please note. We will check and verify the information you have provided in your CV, so if you have any corrections that you would like to make, then please update us with this before accepting this agreement.
Conduct & Presentation; Whether you are attending temporary work or a trial shift for a permanent job you are representing Dineindulge and so you must maintain good conduct, behave appropriately at all times and be well presented.
Make sure to be smart on arrival, change into ironed chef whites/blacks and be polite, courteous and demonstrate a ‘nothing is too much trouble attitude’ at all times. If for any reason you are unhappy with anything on shift, you are to contact a representative at Dineindulge and avoid any aggravating or unprofessional behaviour on site.
If you can’t guarantee that you will behave with good conduct and be well presented at all times when representing Dineindulge, then do not accept & sign this agreement.
Health & Safety Policy
We require all our chefs to be trained to a minimum of level 2 Food Hygiene, as per the Food Safety & Hygiene Regulations, and we will request proof of a current certificate. Please note that refresher courses are required every 3 years to retain your Food Hygiene certificate.
There are many fast and very affordable online courses available to get your qualification. Please contact the team should you require any assistance with this.
Please carefully read our Health & Safety Contractors Handbook which have been generated from our Health and Safety risk assessment of general operations in a commercial setting. By signing this Chef Handbook/Agreement you are acknowledging your obligations to ensure that all safety measures are in place, and legal safety standards are met, when undertaking any activity for commercial clients when working with Dineindulge. By agreeing to these chef rules and contracting to our company you agree, as a freelance worker, to take full responsibility for all food safety and any repercussions will be your full responsibility and liability.
