Adding Children to Your Booking

Hiring a Private Chef to come and cater for you can be a great idea for families who don’t want to pay for a babysitter or taxis to go out to a restaurant. Often our clients arrange their eat time for after they have put their children to bed however, many of our clients still want to include their children in their event and why not? Whilst we do not offer a separate children’s menu due to the logistics of a private chef preparing a meal in an unfamiliar, domestic kitchen we do have a couple of options for your younger guests.
Children often have different palates and appetites and so you do not have to pay full price for them if you want them to eat from the same menu. Children (aged 12 or under) can be added to your event at 50% of the per head cost of the menu you have chosen, and the events team will then advise the chef to make smaller, sometimes simplified, portions for the children. Every child is different so if you think they would like the food as described on the menu then we will leave it as it is and simply present a smaller serving. If you think they would prefer something simpler we can easily make small adjustments so that the menu suits them whilst still basing their meal off the original dish.

Rib Eye Steak & Red Wine Jus (jus on the side)

Cod & Toasted Almond Cream
Garlic & Vanilla Mashed Potato, Green Beans, Sweet Red Peppers, Toasted Almonds, Lemon & Basil Oil
Can become:
Cod & Mashed Potato
Green Beans, Sweet Red Peppers, Lemon & Basil Oil
Simply speak to your event manager and they will happily help you adapt your menu.
Alternatively, if this would not suit your children but you would still like them included, you are very welcome to pre-prepare something for them which the chef can then heat up in the oven and serve alongside your main meal. As long as this does not involve any prep for the chef and doesn’t use any hob space then the chef will happily warm something up for them at no extra charge. Let your event manager know if this is the option you would like, and they will make a note for the chef.
Our 50% discount is available for any child aged 12 or under so there is no need to leave them out of your Dineindulge event. To start with browse our menus online and request a quote based on the adults in your party. Once you have a quote decided on, just speak to the bookings team about adding the children to your booking, the cost will be re-calculated and sent back to you to review and confirm. Alternatively, you can book your event online for just the adults and then add children on to the event through your Event Dashboard post booking.
