Our Latest Cancellation Policy
How are we currently operating & what is our latest cancellation policy?
Due to further easing on Covid-19 restrictions we are returning to our normal operating procedures & cancellation policies
Normal policies resume following the easing of Covid-19 restrictions
Our last Covid-19 update in February covered how we were resuming our service and how we would be continuing with our temporarily updated terms of services and cancellation policies to give continued flexibility during a difficult period of uncertainty because of Covid-19.
Following the change to rules on isolation for those who have been vaccinated from 16th August, we are now returning to our original cancellation policy, but we are offering additional credit options to maintain a level of support for clients being directly impacted by Covid-19.
Latest Cancellation Policy (from 16-8-2021)
If your private chef event with Dineindulge is more than 14 days away, you are only liable for the deposit value required to secure a booking (£60/70€/$90) and anything additional to this is refundable. Non refundable deposits are required in order to secure the relevant resources for your date and cover the administrational costs incurred when processing a booking.
So, if you have paid in full for a booking, you would be refunded everything minus this deposit value. Alternatively, you can move your event to a different date or location for no extra charge or put your event on pause until you have a new date. In this case the deposit value can be retained and used against this rescheduled booking. As always, changes to dates and location will be subject to availability and if the location is more remote and travel charges increase then you would be liable for this additional charge.
Please Note. a cancellation on Saturday 28th August is more than 14 days away from an event on Saturday 11th September. A cancellation on Sunday 29th August is less than 14 days away from an event on Saturday 11th September.
If your cancellation occurs less than 14 days before your event but more than 48 hours prior to your Eat Time, then you can still move your event to a different date and/or location and you will incur no penalty or additional charges for this other than additional travel if the location changes to one that is more remote. If you are unable to move your event and it needs to be cancelled, we’ll still honour the full value of everything you’ve paid to us as a credit on your Dineindulge account. As such, if you did book our services again in the future, you’d be able to reclaim the full value of this credit against the new event.
Finally, if your cancellation is less than 48 hours prior to the Eat Time of your event, this shall result in the loss of any and all payment accepted by Dineindulge and no refund or credit options will be available.
