We understand that wine selection can play a big part in our customers private chef hire experience. Knowing how to choose a wine to go with your meal is a much-desired skill for those who enjoy the finer things in life. In a restaurant, an expert sommelier is there to make a number of suggestions and we know how beneficial this information can be. So, we’ve created a wine pairing offering to give you that perfect combination of delicious food and great wine when you book your dinner party with us.
In the same way that basil brings out the sweetness in tomatoes or horseradish adds piquancy to a slice of beef, some wines and some foods complement each other perfectly. So, we’ve partnered up with Majestic Wines to make your private chef experience extra special. All of our packages come with full tasting notes, meaning you can really impress your guests.
It couldn’t be easier to add your wine package on, simply head to the ‘Add Wines’ tab on your event dashboard, which you are sent access to post booking, and select your wine package and desired delivery date. Our Dineindulge and Majestic Wines team will handle the rest for you.
Now you’ve got the wine, don’t forget the glasses. Reds, whites, sparkling and all those wines in between work best in the right glass. Although we don’t provide crockery, cutlery or glassware for our events, we can give you some tips to enhance your wine package with the perfect glassware selection:
Best Glasses for Sparkling Wine:
Keeping that fizz fizzing is the top priority of any great host and the champagne flute is the perfect choice to achieve this.
Best Glasses for Red Wine:
For red wine, you’ll want a large glass with a good size bowl with a narrow opening. This one is key if you really want to look like you know you wines as the size of the glass allows the drinker to swirl their red to aerate the wine to release the aromas and flavours locked in – most importantly, you can swirl without the risk of ruining your outfit with red wine splashes.
Best Glasses for White Wine:
A smaller glass is your friend when white wine is concerned as this allows you to trap the delicate floral notes and zesty finishes. Smaller glassware is also great for keeping your wine cold.
Keep your eyes peeled, we have some more exciting Majestic Wines ranges joining us soon. If you’ve not yet booked with us then use the form below to get started…
