Managing Your Special Dietary Requirements
We can cater for most dietary requirements and we check what dietary requirements your party has prior to your event allowing our team and your private chef to accommodate these for you.
When choosing a menu, start by selecting one that fits your budget and that has courses best suited to most of your group. At this stage, you don’t need worry too much about individual dietary requirements.
Once you’ve booked, you can then invite your guests do do their menu choices and detail their dietary needs and, where required, we’ll make adjustments to dishes to suit or offer alternative dishes to mix and match your perfect meal.
For any guests with requirements such as Gluten Free, Nut or Dairy Allergies, we ask that they just choose a starter & main course dish that most appeals to them and we’ll replace any items in those dishes that aren’t suitable. These mostly have no impact on any of the other guest’s dishes as we’ll try our best to accommodate them individually without having an effect on the overall group. Please note that if the allergy is severe, we will remove the ingredient from the menu completely to ensure there is no trace or cross contamination, and replace it where possible with a suitable ingredeint for the group.
If our catering team advise that changing those dishes to accommodate the guests requirements is not possible or will result in a poor dish we’ll suggest alternative options for their consideration.
For desserts, as they can be difficult to adjust without creating a totally new dish, we have set alternative dessert options for the group to allow us to accommodate most dietary needs. For example, if one of the dessert options was a Sicilian Orange Drizzle Cake and one of the guests was gluten free we’ll make this dish gluten free for everyone as we know the results are very good and it won’t effect the quality of the dish.
Finally, we do ask you to remember that we limit the number of completely different dishes per course that we’ll produce on site to two (apart from on platter and sharing menus where there can be up to 4). The reason for this is your personal chef is preparing, cooking and serving the menu on site in a domestic kitchen so in order to guarantee the quality of each dish we have this limit in place. This way your private chef can comfortably prepare and cook two different dishes in a domestic kitchen and get them served out to you on time and without delay.
Therefore, if you have a lot of dietary requirements and we’re unable to accommodate them as variations of the two main dishes your group want we may have to look at replacing the dishes on the menu for an option that can accommodate everyone. However, we can always guarantee that we can satisfy all your groups needs so let us know what they are and we will work with you to organise and arrange a menu everyone can enjoy.
