Are you thinking about hiring a private chef but aren’t 100% sure how it all works on the day? Then look no further, here is a full breakdown of our service with some of our frequently asked questions included.
Dineindulge is a unique private chef experience brought direct to you. Combining a personal chef hire service with restaurant quality cuisine.
Our booking process starts off with 3 simple questions: where, when and for how many people. Next, you get to browse across our delicious selection of 20 menus on our website until you find the one most suitable for your evening. You can then get an instant quote by pressing ‘Get Price Now’. If you’re happy with your quote, you can secure your booking with a £60 deposit. Once booked, our events team will handle all of the finer details for you.
Our Chef Service Explained from Start to Finish:
What time will my chef arrive?
All of our chefs aim to arrive 1-2 hours prior to your set eat time however, a more precise arrival time will be confirmed for you via email at 4pm the day before your booking. Please note, for larger bookings, this can increase to up to 4 hours prior to your eat time.
What do I need to do to prepare?
Lay your table, and if you have ordered a wine pairing box from us then you will need to have this chilled with the glasses prepared as the chef will be focussing fully on your Dineindulge meal.
Who will my chef be?
Your chef will be one of our dedicated Dineindulge private chefs and we’ll select your chef based on your location and chosen menu. We demand the highest level of standards not only in food preparation and delivery but also in the event experience so we only work with chefs who take a real pride in what they do, allowing us to guarantee the same level of service for every client, everywhere.

Will my chef provide the ingredients?
Of course, your chef will arrive with all of the raw ingredients required to create your chosen menu. Please keep 2 shelves free in the fridge and 1 shelf in the freezer for your chef to store fresh ingredients on arrival. Normally the chef will have done several hours of preparations before they reach you and they’ll be very well organised but most of the cooking will be done on site.
Will the chef use my pots & pans?
Yes, as a private chef experience, the chef will bring all of the ingredients and ‘take over’ your kitchen but they do rely on and use the cutlery, crockery, pots and pans they find onsite.
As long as you have a standard domestic kitchen, they will find everything they need. If you have any concerns about your kitchen, please email your event manager and they will be able to assist. All we ask is that you supply at least 1 small and large plate per person and your chef will be able to wash up between courses.
Who will service the meal?
Your chef of course! The Dineindulge service is like sitting at the chef’s table in a restaurant. We have a super talented team of chefs who love to introduce their dishes and answer any questions you might have on the ingredients or cooking methods. They will also clear away each course.
Who cleans up?
One of the many benefits of hiring a private chef is that you won’t need to worry about washing the dishes after your party. Once our private chef has finished, they will clean up afterwards to ensure that your kitchen space is left immaculate.
