Meet Our New Partner, ARC.
We’re excited to introduce our new partner, ARC, a leading independent agency for the most remarkable country houses in the UK.
Take a look at the beautiful properties that they have to offer…
We’re excited to announce that we have teamed up with ARC to offer our customers the ultimate stay: a private chef experience at a boutique hotel.
Founded by architect Tom Leahy in Spring 2022, ARC is a curated and crafted collection of the most remarkable country houses in the UK. ARC effortlessly combines the charm and attention to detail of boutique hotels with the repose of rural life; embodying a modern luxury that replaces glitz, glamour and bling with an architectural elegance, comfort and purpose. Comfortably hosting up to 30 people per house, ARCs are curated experiences like no other; furnished with all the creature comforts and convenience needed to make your stay as easy as possible.
“We set up ARC to reimagine the English country house. Rented & full rather that owned & often empty. We wanted to reduce the UK’s carbon miles by providing purpose built affordable luxury accommodation; England’s answer to the European Villa.” – ARC
Have all 7 bays for seven days, only a stone’s throw from Padstow. Exposed Cornish slated walls, and raw materials combine the cottage and the contemporary. A serene sanctuary of simple pleasures. Nestled within the heart of St Issey, a neighbouring hamlet of Padstow’s, you can find this ARC – an 18th Century build restored to its original plan by Parti Architects. In a moving assembly of light, material and space, the interior of ARC Padstow exhibits the honesty and authenticity of the building’s past using exposed Cornish slated walls, original beams, restored historic fireplaces and other raw materials that combine the cottage and the contemporary together. Crafting decadent forms alongside a peaceful, contented spatial ambience, there is something special found within its walls.
Formerly a listed Manor House, Courthouse and Mill, the building is united by the characterful garden sat at the heart of the property, rigged with garden rooms, an oval sun lawn, outdoor kitchen and wood-fired hot-tub. Entertaining 24 guests spread across 12 ensuite king rooms – fortified by five reception spaces – there is plenty of room to relax, recover, dance and dine. With a state-of-the-art kitchen, pizza oven, Braai and more, there is ample opportunity to explore your culinary skills or hire a private chef, taking advantage of ARC’s Lobby to fuel your stay and kindle your time spent together.

True to its Cotswold heritage, ARC Painswick takes the form of Cardynham house, a 15th Century Wool merchants Manor house found at the heart of the town, restored to its ancestral beauty and embellished with modern comforts to create a homely, hearty and halcyon juxtaposition of the classic and the contemporary.
Fundamentally sociable with each element of the doughnut-like structure presenting opportunities for meeting, eating and reminiscing, ARC Painswick comes outfitted for any occasion. Be it a splash-about in the garden’s swimming pool, a singsong serenading the uninterrupted view of the Painswick Hills, or a lie-in snuggled between the cotton sheets of the king-sized and single ensuites.
Accommodating 24 guests, feel as provided for as you’d like, exploiting the wine tasting, curry nights, delivered pub meals and breakfast services available in the ARC Lobby – giving you even more reason to stay, and giving you another excuse to come back.
You can plan as much or as little as they’d like, using their online Lobby to curate your stay; from a Dineindulge private chef experience, to in-house yoga and a personal photographer to document the getaway.
