This feels impossible to review as a whole, but as I have been asked to before resolving a complaint, which I do find strange, I will do. I would prefer to rate the experience separately, to be honest. Our chef, Julian, was 5 star! He was so lovely, professional and an incredibly talented chef! However, my experience with dine indulge has unfortunately not been the same. To have a challenge in menu choices to start with, for them to then be communicated incorrectly to the chef and not being what we ordered, was quite honestly disappointing. The chef was so disappointed himself and felt he’d done us a disservice, but that’s a real shame he had to apologise for dine indulge’s mistake. For the money we’ve paid, there should have been no mistakes made, a real let down. I am also still struggling to understand, for the price people are paying, to not have more flexibility in choice. Nothing I had originally asked for was unreasonable, but as you said rules are rules, so we went with that and then didn’t get our final choices anyway. Chef Julian however, more than made up for those mistakes, and we thank him so much for a lovely evening and outstanding food. It’s a real shame none of us enjoyed the dessert as not our preferred taste, which I will stress again, was absolutely not his fault, but sadly most went to waste. Again just disappointing to not have what we had expected. I think we all just felt incredibly uncomfortable by the situation, and I’m sure not the experience you would want your clients to have. The food we did eat was 5* and it was a pleasure to have Julian cook for us. Could not fault his professionalism and left kitchen spotlessly clean afterwards. It would feel wrong to rate the overall experience lower than a 4, but that is because of the Chef and not the overall experience.

Two things prevented it being 5 in food presentation were the sorbet had melted and In food taste the chocolate soufflé wasn’t chocolately enough and the banoffee croissant was too large and too sweet. Suggest review those dessert options. The chef worked extremely hard throughout the evening and the rest of the food was very tasty and well presented.

Johnathan was very pleasant, sociable, arrived promptly and did an excellent job. He helped to make our family party very special.

The food was exquisite and the customer service leading up to the event was faultless - we had quite a few food allergies to accommodate and the team was incredible in helping us tailor our menu. However - the chef on the night was the complete opposite. Scott was tense and standoffish which made for a very tricky atmosphere on the night. Unfortunately our accommodation was an Airbnb, and as such we weren’t aware in advance of the dining space available to us. The dining table was in the kitchen area and so we were present for the entire cooking experience. I offered for us to retreat to the living room between courses but this wasn’t taken up by the chef. By the last few courses Scott was noticeably slamming cupboard doors and being curt with his responses. After the meal, one of our guests was making polite conversation and he passed on that this had been ‘the most claustrophobic catering experience’ he had ever worked. Once he had finished and cleared everything away he practically ran out of the door with a very brief ‘bye’ so we didn’t even get a chance to thank him for the delicious food. The overall meal was delicious and the planning was impeccable, but it was heavily let down by the chefs attitude and the atmosphere it created.

Our chef Tyler, arrived on time and cooked us an amazing meal . He was quiet and professional . The kitchen was left exactly how he found it . It was perfect for our family celebration and I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone thinking about it . Thankyou !

Katie was brilliant as our private chef! She was professional and friendly, answered any questions about the dishes, and there was plenty of choice if not everyone likes everything. Also plenty of food! Tidied up and left the kitchen spotless. All my guests commented on the tasty food and how special the night felt. Would highly recommend.

We had Julie come over to our house to cook for our 12 guests for my partners 30th birthday. Everything was done to perfection, the food was delicious and the kitchen was spotless after she left. I can’t recommend this service enough. We will definitely be booking again in the future. Thank you again Julie!
