I have already emailed the team. See below: Firstly, the chef arrived at 6:45pm, when we were told the arrival would be 6pm. This meant that we didn’t start eating until 7:40pm, even though our start time was supposed to be 7pm. We also didn’t have any communication from the chef that he was going to be late so we were concerned he wasn’t coming at all. As this meal was for my mother-in-law’s 70th birthday as a surprise, we had to ruin the surprise as the chef was so late (we’d timed it so that she would show up once the chef had arrived, but of course with the delay she arrived and the chef wasn’t there). Next, the starter was served and we were all given the seared duck breast. However, one of the guests doesn’t eat duck and had chosen the sweetcorn fritters. I tried to ask the chef and he showed me that he had fritters - and he did one for the guest. With the language barrier I’m not quite sure what had happened here, but I think he was planning to serve the fritters as a second starter? Finally, I have a dairy allergy and I made a note of this on the booking. I also emailed you on 1st May to ask what happens with this (see attached). Unfortunately, I ended up not being able to have dessert as the sticky toffee pudding had butter in. The chef was apologetic and gave me some berries (that we had in the fridge!) instead. This was incredibly disappointing as I’d really been looking forward to it. As you can probably tell - this ended up being quite a stressful meal for me. And just for clarity - the chef was very good, despite a clear language barrier. Looking forward to your response.

Pastry on the tart for the starter was a bit too thick, but tart was delicious. Jonathan was very friendly, made an effort to get to know the group and was present, professional and chatty without being intrusive. Sticky toffee pudding was to die for. An experience we would do again.

Chef only arrived 40 mins before scheduled meal time which was stressful and appeared rushed. Chef left before we finished dessert and the kitchen was not thoroughly cleaned and left as found.

Norman arrived early to make sure he was organised in time. Very professional and not intrusive. Explained courses and was happy to take photos for us!

Thoroughly enjoyed the food and professionalism of the chef and assistant. Food was very tasty, good portions with extras, very friendly and comfortable. Left the kitchen very clean, spotless. Would recommend.

We had a wonderful evening being cooked for and waited on by our lovely chef. She did an amazing job, the food smelt amazing right from the start so we knew we were in for a treat. Matthew and his team were punctual, provided excellent food and service. The kitchen was spotless and they even washed up between courses because we were a large group and the rented property didn’t have enough cutlery and side plates for all the courses. Food was fantastic quality and plentiful. An excellent birthday celebration.

I don\'t usually do reviews but when deciding to book our own dining experience, having never used Dineindulge before, I found other peoples reviews so reassuring. Our chef was Luke who arrived when he said he would and got straight on with things. Very professional but also more than happy to chat and answer questions. Everybody was thrilled with our experience and it was a perfect afternoon with friends for my 60th birthday. Thanks Luke.
