A Private Chef that Comes to Your House
by Dineindulge
It’s been a long two years for many people in the face of some very difficult circumstances and here at Dineindulge we feel very grateful and fortunate that we’ve been able to bring some food filled joy to many clients over this period. Whilst group sizes were limited, as per the regulations, we appreciate how important it is for people to be able to have experiences that allow them to relax and enjoy themselves especially during an extended and stressful period, and we’re thankful for the opportunity to provide our private chef service during this time.
As we return to a level of normality, we’re excited to be able to cater for larger groups of friends and family, as well as hen and stag parties and special events, who can finally get together to make up for many missed occasions. As such, we’d like to go through a few of the most common questions about our service and how it all works so you know exactly what to expect when you make a booking with us.
Common Questions About Hiring a Chef with Dineindulge:
Does the private chef actually cook in the house or is it a drop off? Yes! When you book Dineindulge you are hiring an actual private chef that comes to your house and cooks your chosen Dineindulge menu for you. Our menus are quite complex and so they will of course do several hours of pre preparations before arriving at your home or accommodation, but this just means everything is super organised when they arrive on site with you to start the cooking.
Who does the washing up? Our chefs don’t just cook but they also serve and clean up afterwards too! The chef will prepare each course, plate it and then serve it to you explaining what each dish is. Once you’ve finished your final course, they’ll clear down the kitchen and wash all the dishes so there is nothing left for you to do!
Does the service come with wine? It can do! Post booking you will receive access to our wine pairing packages and house wines. These can be added to your order as long as your event is more than 5 days away. You can read more about this here – https://www.dineindulge.co.uk/wine/. When you order a wine package with us we’ll provide you with the tasting notes for the wine and you’ll be able to guide your guests through the wines as the meal progresses.
What time will the chef arrive? Our chefs will normally arrive between 1 and 2 hours before your chosen Eat Time. As mentioned in the question above, your private chef will be well prepared with the majority of the prep done so the on site cooking is actually the easy party and doesn’t take too long. On arrival they’ll get to grips with your kitchen and start preparing your first course ready for your chosen Eat Time so it is important to note that if there have been any delays on your side please let your private chef know. Your Dineindulge chef will have their timings well planned and so to make sure they produce the best possible meal, they will need to know as soon as possible if there are any changes to timings.
Who will my chef be? When we receive a booking our staffing team designate one of our private chefs to this based on the menu type, number of heads and location of the event. With our service our clients trust in us to provide them with the ideal chef to produce their chosen menu to the highest standard whatever country the event may be in. So with Dineindulge, like eating in a restaurant, your event is the collective effort of a group of experts from the in house tasting team who design our menus to the specialist events team who manage your event and of course your chef on the day who is left just to focus on what they do best, the cooking.
